Architecture

For most people this may seem like one of the many and popular sites seen from a New York window. But to people who are more familiar with the architecture and understand the meaning of the sites they see, this building is a huge part of their history!! A whole year's worth was spent looking at this building and analyzing it to its most fullest extent and actually understanding its style. Shaina , Chaya , and chaneh Mushk spent their whole senior year looking out their class window and staring at this piece of architecture to understand the meaning of its use.

Holiday in San Diego
Friday Morning I hopped onto the airport bus. The journey was going quiet uneventful when suddenly I heard yelling. I took off my earbuds and heard loud and horrible noises coming from a few seats back. I craned my neck to see what the commotion was. To my surprise and annoyance it was a middle aged Japanese guy talking on his cell-phone(in Japanese of course). You would think by the way he was talking that Taiwan was being nuked. It was all really strange. A few minutes later the bus driver parked the bus on the side of the road to hand out bus surveys(like rate the bus toilets, how big your driver is..). By the time he got through the seats and we continued I was starting to get nervous cuz from LAX airport I had to catch the shuttle to the palisades. Then we hit 5 o'clock LA traffic on the 101. After an hour delay I was on the shuttle. Now I had something else to worry about; i wasn't really in the mood of spending shabbos myself with the Arab dude who was driving the shuttle. Nothing personal its just that he had an Islamic mini-sacrifice on his dashboard. I made it in time to shower in bruryahs HUGE shower(is it any of your business that I didn't have to use my hands to rinse the soap out of my hair, I just had to scrape it against the ceiling) and eat the Friday nite meal at their shluchim- the Cunins. Shabbos day there was a kiddush at the shul and we had the opportunity to hear an old married man tell everyone that the counselors all have beautiful hair. Thanchs. Motzei Shabbos, we ate out and met up with mushkah. I saw Bracha in munchies. Sunday morn. We awoke at about 11, I was picked up by shmulie, esther malka and the kids and we drove to San Diego. We had pizza and then drove to the wrong hotel. Then we drove to the right one. :) Monday was muggy and I was in a terrible mood. It started to rain so we ditched the Zoo idea and we ended up in a science museum. I don't want to talk about it. After the museum they dropped me at the hotel and decided to head to the beach despite all clouds and humidity. I ate to 2 hot dogs for dinner(sound familiar mushky?), bathed the kids and went to sleep. Tuesday, I showered and we went to the San Diego zoo. It was a great day and the kids loved it. We had a dairy dinner in an Israeli restaurant. I walked into the restaurant bathroom to find that in one open room there was two toilets side by side and two sinks side by side. Im guessing that in san Diego they are very open and welcoming people or they are just cautious and want to make sure that no toilet is ever alone (in the event that one toilet may get lonely). We then drove home. On the 4 hr car trip, i had a kid screaming in each ear. It was fun!! O and my phone died in the 1st hr. But now im back in Bakersfield.
